PHILOSOPHY

Why Aural?
Every musical work that has become eternal has an origin, a moment in history in which everything begins, an inspiration, a muse, a dream of the composer, etc… a moment in which everything fits, the pieces come together and begin to come together and give life to the piece.

In Aural that moment was when the paths of three people crossed each other. Three people from different areas, but with an important link in common: the passion for wine.

An established winemaker, a seasoned entrepreneur and a sensory marketing expert met seven years ago and knew within minutes that the pieces had clicked. They decided to create wine, they decided to compose Aural.

Aural: pertaining to or relating to the sense of hearing.
Why Aural? One winter afternoon, when the sun embraced the small leaves and buds of one of the vineyards in Sierra de Gredos with its last rays, the three friends were walking along a small adjacent country road. They stopped, looked at the steep plot where the vineyard grows, and after a few seconds they thought that they had to share that moment: the views and the emotions created by the sound of the cold breeze dancing through the leaves, the constant rhythm of the water coming down by the nearby stream and the music composed by the nature of the environment. They would share that moment through the wines and the music and sounds that accompany each wine. That wine would be related to the world of sound that surrounds it. That wine would be called Aural.

LAND

The land is our music sheet, our main element. The lands absorb all the particularities and cultures of the area. Respect for the land is a fundamental value for Aural, and the ability to transmit through our wines the areas where they come from, the reason of our being.

PLOT | PLACE | TOWN

Each piece of land that we choose for Aural is because it is special, because it has characteristics that meet the requirements of creating a quality wine. That’s why, like a treasure map, our vineyards are identified by coloured sound waves related to the nuances of the land and its produced wine. Waves with unique colours for unique areas.
